Between the Sheets with Teddy Hamilton
Romance Narrators: Alright. It's a New Year. Is Teddy Hamilton a resolutions guy? If so, whatcha working on this year?
Teddy: You know the idea of Mind, Body and Soul? I’ve always been pretty good at the mind and the soul part, while consistently neglecting the body part. So 2019 is the year my body gets some love…not like that! I’ve been a pretty dedicated smoker for the past 15 years. Ironic for a voice actor? I successfully cut cigarettes out of my life with the help of vape pens, which is great, vaping is, like, 97% healthier (made up percentage) but unfortunately they're still a steady supply of nicotine, which is particularly bad for me. So now I’m leaving nicotine behind in 2019, and dedicating myself to mindfulness in what I put in my body.
Romance Narrators: Tell us something we'd never guess about you, why don't ya? Something juicy.
Teddy: I dance naked for my fiancé, like everyday. All she ever does is laugh and say “I wish people could see you like this”. It’s good dancing too, lots of passion, very innovative moves and a unique sense of style you know?
Romance Narrators: Lucky fiancé! Tell us about working with Amy Daws. She is a character, huh? What can listeners expect from your latest collaboration with her, NEXT IN LINE?
Teddy: Amy has really mastered the art of Bathos hasn’t she? Finding ways to make you laugh at any moment within a story. In the past she’s been pretty good at making you laugh while getting you hot, but I think NEXT IN LINE does an amazing job of making you laugh while you’re crying. It’s not generally a sob story, but when she’s hitting you with the feels, she cracks a good one, and so you laugh while you’re sad, and I think that’s a beautiful laugh.
Romance Narrators: Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy's HIM, which you co-narrated with Jacob Morgan gets a lot of love from listeners. What do you think they are responding to so passionately?
Teddy: I’d like to think that Mr. Morgan and Mr. Hamilton work well together, and that’s why it’s so good, but the truth is that Elle and Sarina created a pretty iconic story when they told the tale of Wesmie (Wes and Jamie). I think it’s a simple story well told and provides a pretty great foundation for accepting love in its many forms.
Although maybe if me and Jacob had a catchy celeb couples name we could do more. #Jacoddy? no #Mormilton? I kinda like Mormilton although it sounds like a fancy golf course.
Romance Narrators: Mormilton for the win! You seem to have fun with the occasional behind-the-scenes booth video, yeah? What kind of shenanigans can we look forward to next?
Teddy: I’ll admit I’m very impulsive with things like that. I tend to get an idea in my head and then I just do it. Of course things get a little messy when you do things like that. Mindfulness seems to be my main 2019 goal. I’ve always been a go-with-the-flow kinda guy, and while I do not want to lose the stress free life that accompanies an easygoing nature, I would like to bring more purpose and intention into my life. I don’t know what this has to do with behind the scenes videos, other than I’m sure the inspiration will strike again, and I expect a mindful approach will help it to evolve.
Romance Narrators: What's the most romantic thing you've ever done, sir?
Teddy: I asked my fiancé to tell me my most romantic thing I’ve done, so I could show it off here on Romance Narrators. I was thinking maybe the way I asked her to marry me under a blanket of stars, or our first date when I took her dancing. I was thinking the time I surprised her by taking her to spend Christmas night at the Grand Californian Hotel, and the next day at Disneyland, it was a huge surprise! She was so happy. Do you know what she said? “That time you brought me raspberries and cool whip in bed”…..I don’t get women.
Romance Narrators: It’s the little things, right? What exciting projects do you have coming up?
Teddy: NEXT IN LINE by Amy Daws should be dropping any minute now! Get it while the gettin is good! https://adbl.co/2VvXwvb
Romance Narrators: Where can folks keep up with you online?
Teddy: I have a Teddy Hamilton Facebook page. And Lydia Rella of Aural Fixation has been encouraging me to get a Twitter profile going so I just got one started. @TEDDYHAMILTON14 apparently there are 14 of us...
